Plymouth Sports Complex Indoor Lacrosse Leagues
Boy's Rules

TEAM ROSTERS
All rosters should consist of 12-15 players.  Any roster with less than 12 players, is subject to the addition of Free Agent players.  Teams are required to provide a goalie!!

GAME FORMAT
Each team will play 7 per side; 1 goalie, 2 attack, 2 defense and 2 midfield on the field at a time. No more than 2 long poles per team on the field at any one time.  (U13's can use 60" long poles, no long poles for U11's)

EQUIPMENT
All players are required to wear full pads, which include arm pads, shoulder pads, gloves, helmet, mouthpiece and a legal stick.  Goalies must be fully equiped including helmet w/ throat guard, gloves, chest protector, athletic cup & mouthpiece.

GAME LENGTH
Two 25 minute running time halves; Running time starts at :05(first half) and :35 (2nd half) minutes after the hour.  Time will start at these times whether teams are ready or not!!

FACE-OFFS
In the High School and U15 Divisions, face-offs will only occur at the start of the each half.  After a goal is signaled, the defensive team (any player) will bring the ball out of the goal and start with the ball behind goal-line-extended.  Play will resume with a whistle.  In the U11 & U13 Divisions, there will be a Face-Off after each goal.

SUBSTITUTIONS
All subbing is to be done on the fly.

OUT OF BOUNDS
The ball is considered to be out of bounds when it comes in contact with something not on the playing fields.  This includes side nets and the ceiling. If it is unclear who last touched the ball before it went out of bounds, the referee will refer to the Alternate Possession rule.

OFF-SIDES
A team must have at least two players on their offensive half of the field and at least 3 players on their defensive half of the field at all times.  This is a time serving violation when the non-offending team is in possession of the ball, otherwise it would result in a turnover.  In order to remain On-Sides, a team will never go more than 2 men down, although players will still serve penalty time for personal or technical fouls.

5 Goal Rule
  • If Team A scores to make it a 5 goal or more lead, Team B is awarded a free clear at midfield.  From this point forward, if Team A's lead ever becomes 4 goals or less, Team B must again clear the ball from behind their own goal-line-extended (GLE).
10 Goal Rule
  • Once Team A has a 10 goal or more lead, Team B is awarded the ball at midfield after either team scores. From this point forward, if Team A's lead ever becomes 9 goals or less, the 5 Goal Rule goes back into effect.
Body Checking
  • THERE WILL BE NO BODY CHECKING AT ALL outside of the normal “bumping” that occurs in loose ball and dodging situations.  Any violation of this in the judgment of the referee, will result in a time serving penalty.
  • Along the perimeter of the field, there will be ABSOLUTELY no body contact outside of the normal boxing out for a loose ball (even if it is legal).  Safety of our players is our top priority.
Time Serving Penalties
  • On any time serving penalty, the ball will re-start within the circle at midfield, regardless of where the foul occured.
  • The person called for a foul (technical or personal) must immediately report to the substitution area.
  • If a technical foul was called, the player called for the foul will serve a 30 second penalty.
  • If a personal foul was called, the player(s) called for the foul will serve a 1 minute penalty unless the official deems the foul to be worthy of more time (not greater than 3 minutes).
  • Plymouth Sports Complex, our officials and management of PSC have the right to eject or dismiss any player with no refund.  We will certainly do all we can to prevent this, but ultimately we do reserve this right.
Spectators
  • Spectators are expected to lead by example through positive behavior and sportsmanship to all.  Any spectator harrassing an official, an opposing coach, player or parent will be asked to leave the facility.
  • Spectators are not allowed inside the playing area at any time, for any reason.  If this happens, the spectator will be ejected from the facility, regardless of the situation

The purpose of this league is for players to keep their skills sharp and for teams to develop camaraderie during the "off-season".  Negative behavior, intimidation and unnecessary roughness will not be tolerated.  Players and spectators are expected to treat one another, the officials and the facility with respect. Plymouth Sports Complex Lacrosse holds the right to remove any player or spectator without refund.  We will do all we can to difuse any problems, but if it is persistant or severe enough, we will take action.
